Moses Martin, the 20-year-old son of Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin, performed his first London gig on Wednesday night at The Hawley Arms in Camden. The venue is historically significant as it is located in the same area where his father's band, Coldplay, began their career nearly three decades ago.

Martin, who fronts the rock band People I've Met, performed with bandmate Orlando Wiltshire on drums to a packed audience. He shared his thoughts on London's music scene in an interview with Rolling Stone, stating, "London feels a lot more musical than a lot of other cities in some ways. And England in general is really receptive to new music and there is a culture of giving bands a chance and I think is really special."

Coldplay, originally named Starfish, played their first concert in the same North London borough in 1998. The area also holds personal significance for Martin, as he spent a portion of his childhood living nearby. Paltrow and Martin resided in Belsize Park after their marriage in 2003.

In his conversation with Rolling Stone, Martin acknowledged the advantages of having parents in the music industry. "It’s definitely something to be reckoned with," he said. "I think the ultimate thing is that I'm very grateful to be in the position I’m in and I have a musical DNA through my parents. My parents are incredible and I’m very grateful to be in the position I’m in. But what I’m trying to say is that yes, we acknowledge it and we’re grateful for it, but we’re doing something that is special and unique to us, and that we really care about."

He added that he values his parents' support and uses his father as a sounding board for his music. "I really trust his opinion. But it’s the same with my Mum too, she has great taste."

The Hawley Arms has a storied history in the Camden music scene, having been a favored spot for artists like Amy Winehouse. It was also frequented by musicians such as Pete Doherty, Liam Gallagher, and the Arctic Monkeys.

The singer and model, 20, took to the stage with his rising rock band People I've Met at The Hawley Arms in Camden, performing to a tightly-packed crowd inside the legendary music pub.

People I've Met, which also includes drummer Orlando and bassist Andrew Suster, formed in high school in Los Angeles. The band released their debut single, "Promise," in December and their five-track EP, "Bunny," in May.

Following his London debut, Martin is scheduled to perform with his band at Reading Festival and Leeds Festival this weekend. This year's festivals will feature several artists with well-known parents, a phenomenon sometimes referred to as the "nepo baby" trend.

Earlier this year, Martin also made his modeling debut as part of Burberry's "Escape to the Countryside" campaign. Coldplay played their first concert in the same North London borough in 1998, when Chris, Jonny Buckland, Guy Berryman and Will Champion were still performing under their original name Starfish.
