Model and musician Gabbriette Bechtel married The 1975 frontman Matty Healy on July 18 in Los Angeles. The ceremony took place at Castillo del Lago, a former estate owned by Madonna. Gabbriette wore a custom creation by the fashion brand Matières Fécales, known for its avant-garde designs.
The bride's primary wedding gown, her first bridal commission from Matières Fécales, was a white silk taffeta dress. It featured a drop-waist silhouette, a hand-pleated bodice, and a triple bustle with a train. The edges of the fabric were intentionally frayed using the brand's signature "déchiré" technique, which translates from French as "torn."
Gabbriette complemented the gown with a veil by milliner Stephen Jones, styled with a beehive hairstyle. She also wore white satin curved-heel pumps from a collaboration between Matières Fécales and Christian Louboutin.

For pre-wedding celebrations, Gabbriette donned a black gown also designed by Matières Fécales. This piece was constructed using a vintage Martin Margiela dress that the bride already owned. The designers described the look as being "loosely inspired" by "Bram Stoker's Dracula" and embraced the idea that bridal attire is not always white.
Following the ceremony, Gabbriette changed into a two-piece lamb leather suit for the after-party. This outfit incorporated fur and featured the same "déchiré" tulle detail on the sleeves and pant hems. She accessorized this look with a white satin riding hat, also created in collaboration with Stephen Jones, and another pair of Christian Louboutin x Matières Fécales pumps.
According to reports, the designers presented 30 options to Gabbriette, and her three chosen looks took over four months to create. The bride has a history of favoring deconstructed fashion, notably wearing a vintage Chanel tweed skirt suit that appeared to be unraveling at the hems for her bachelorette party.
Healy proposed to Gabbriette after one year of dating with a black diamond ring. The ring features a central black diamond surrounded by white diamonds. Experts have suggested that black diamonds can symbolize power, elegance, mystery, and strength, with some fans interpreting their significance as representing personal transformation and grounding for Healy.
