Actress Minka Kelly recently offered a glimpse into the highly anticipated second season of the Netflix series "Ransom Canyon," set to premiere on July 23. Speaking on "Live with Kelly and Mark," Kelly described the upcoming season as "lighter and funner" and "very sexy."

Kelly elaborated on her character Quinn's storyline, revealing that she will face a significant romantic dilemma. Quinn will spend six months working with the New York Philharmonic, and upon her return, she will have met someone new. This development sets up a conflict between her past relationship with Staten, played by Josh Duhamel, and this new connection.

"When things are hard, it’s very easy to romanticize the new, fun thing, and so you go home, and you’re faced with: where does your heart belong?" Kelly explained, highlighting Quinn's central challenge for the season.

The actress also touched upon the possibility of the show continuing beyond its second season. Kelly expressed enthusiasm for exploring what happens when characters actually commit to a relationship, beyond the initial stages of love and lust. "What I’m looking forward to discovering is sort of what happens when you do actually get together because anyone can fall in love and fall in lust. But it’s when you actually do get together, and you create a home together, and you find out the ugliest parts of each other, and you still choose each other. And what does that look like?" she stated, hinting at hopes for a potential third season.

"Ransom Canyon" Season 2 will be available in its entirety on Netflix on July 23.
