Millie Mackintosh is navigating a new phase of her life following her split from Hugo Taylor, embracing home-based gatherings and a fresh start in a new rental property. The 37-year-old former Made in Chelsea star recently moved into her new home and is focused on building a new life for herself and her daughters, Sienna, aged six, and Aurelia, aged four.
Mackintosh described her daughters as a source of comfort during this period, sharing that kitchen dance parties have become a cherished part of their day. "Dancing round the kitchen to our favourite music is honestly one of my favourite parts of the day with Sienna and Aurelia," she stated. This personal joy coincided with her participation in a launch event for Spotify UK's managed accounts, designed to provide a safe music space for children under 13 while allowing parental control. She attended the Spotify London HQ event with her daughters, where they enjoyed face painting and were joined by JLS star Aston Merrygold and his family.
Mackintosh's transition into her new home was an emotional one, as documented in an Instagram video showing her unboxing belongings and assembling flat-pack furniture. She shared her feelings of finding "a bit of strength in the chaos" as she embarked on this new chapter. She acknowledged the significant assistance she received from her friend Lucie Hirst, who helped her find the rental property and manage the administrative processes, making a stressful time less complicated.
The move itself was described by Mackintosh as a "healing" process. She shared her feelings on moving day, noting the mix of nervousness, excitement, and hope. "Divorce isn't the ending I imagined for myself, but this house, this next bit feels like proof that new beginnings really can be beautiful even when they start with cardboard boxes and lots of uncertainty," she wrote. She reflected on the process of emptying her former home, realizing how much a house holds of one's life and experiencing a sense of lightness as she moved on.
Mackintosh and Taylor have officially filed for divorce and are reportedly seeking a "clean break" while co-parenting their children. The couple had previously invested significant time and effort into renovating their £5 million family home, a project they shared updates on. Mackintosh noted that after a year of renovations, they had reached a stage where the focus was on personal touches that make a house a home. Despite the past, Mackintosh is now ready to focus on new projects and building a home that is entirely her own.
