Netflix has released "Enola Holmes 3," the latest film in the mystery-adventure series starring Millie Bobby Brown. The film, released on July 1, 2026, follows Enola Holmes as she prepares to marry Lord Tewkesbury (Louis Partridge). Her wedding plans are put on hold when her brother, Sherlock Holmes (Henry Cavill), goes missing.

The plot of "Enola Holmes 3" centers on Enola's efforts to locate Sherlock, with assistance from Tewkesbury and Dr. Watson (Himesh Patel). This personal case presents Enola with her most challenging mystery yet, forcing her to balance impending marriage with a critical family rescue.

Brown reprises her role as the titular detective, a character she has portrayed through the first two films. Her previous work includes the Netflix series "Stranger Things" and roles in the "Godzilla" films and "Damsel." Louis Partridge returns as Lord Tewkesbury, Enola's love interest and now fiancé, who joins Enola's search for Sherlock. Partridge has also appeared in "Argylle" and the limited series "Disclaimer."

Himesh Patel joins the cast as Dr. Watson, a character introduced in the post-credit scene of the previous film. Watson serves as an informant regarding Sherlock's disappearance, collaborating with Enola to uncover the truth. Patel described his portrayal of Watson as a departure from previous versions.

Helena Bonham Carter returns as Eudoria Holmes, the mother of Enola and Sherlock. Eudoria's re-emergence into Enola's life occurs at an unexpected moment, adding another layer to the unfolding mystery.

Henry Cavill's Sherlock Holmes is largely absent for much of the film's events, having gone missing while working on a case in Malta. His early concern for Enola relinquishing her name is a theme explored before his disappearance.

Sule Rymar returns as the antagonist Moriarty, seeking revenge against both Enola and Sherlock. Rymar is also known for her roles in "Dune: Part One," "Sex Education," and "Ballerina."

The film is directed by Philip Barantini, with Jack Thorne returning as the screenwriter. Thorne also wrote the previous two "Enola Holmes" films.
