Millie Bobby Brown has publicly defended her husband, Jake Bongiovi, against accusations of inadequate parenting and offered a rare glimpse into their family life, including their adopted daughter.

Brown, 22, addressed the scrutiny during a recent appearance on the "Not Gonna Lie" podcast with host Kylie Kelce. She recounted instances where she was seen managing a car seat, bags, and her daughter simultaneously, leading to criticism directed at Bongiovi. "When did women become incapable of holding their own bags, car seats and stuff?" Brown questioned, pushing back against the notion that her husband should have been carrying more. She added, "Nobody knows my husband. My husband is the most polite, sweet, will-do-anything-for-me. But he also knows I'm capable."

During an appearance on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," Brown also shared reflections on her role as a mother. "My baby girl's growing, she's gorgeous," she said. She noted the strong bond her daughter has with her and Bongiovi's parents, stating, "They're all obsessed with her, she doesn't ever really get put down." She humorously recalled Bongiovi's father saying their daughter would likely be "carried for the next 18 years."

Brown also revealed a lifelong desire to adopt, explaining that even as a child, she imagined her dolls were adopted. She confirmed her intention to have biological children in the future, emphasizing that this does not diminish her desire for adoption. The couple announced the adoption of their daughter in August, stating at the time, "This summer we welcomed our sweet baby girl through adoption. We are beyond excited to embark on this beautiful next chapter of parenthood in both peace and privacy."

The actress was promoting "Enola Holmes 3," the latest installment in the film franchise where she plays the titular detective. The film, which also stars Henry Cavill and Helena Bonham Carter, is set to premiere on Netflix on July 1. Brown and Bongiovi were photographed together at the film's after-party, where she changed from her red carpet gown into a lace co-ord outfit.
