Millie Bobby Brown and her husband Jake Bongiovi displayed affection at the premiere of Netflix's "Enola Holmes 3" in New York City. The couple walked the red carpet together outside the Plaza hotel on Thursday night, joined by Brown's co-stars.
Brown, 22, wore a blue strapless gown and a diamond necklace, with her hair styled in a loose braid. Bongiovi, 24, son of rock musician Jon Bon Jovi, wore a blue suit, white dress shirt, black tie, and beige loafers.
The public appearance follows recent comments made by Brown on the "Not Gonna Lie" podcast, where she defended Bongiovi against what she described as "dad-shaming" trolls. The criticism reportedly stemmed from social media images of Brown managing car seats, prams, and luggage alone, leading some to question Bongiovi's involvement.
"Hi, I'm Millie Bobby Brown and I'm not gonna lie, when did women become incapable of holding their own bags, car seats and stuff?" Brown stated on the podcast. She explained that her actions were a matter of her being ahead and organized, saying, "We're all about empowering girls and, 'You got it' and 'You don't need a man'. But then when I'm like, 'OK, I can carry my own things,' people are like, 'Where's your husband?'"
Brown emphasized Bongiovi's character, stating, "Nobody knows my husband. My husband is the most polite, sweet, will-do-anything-for-me. But he also knows I'm capable."
During the podcast interview, Brown also spoke about her long-held desire to adopt, noting that even as a child, she imagined her dolls were adopted. She confirmed that the couple welcomed their baby daughter through adoption in the summer of 2025, announcing the news last August. "This summer we welcomed our sweet baby girl through adoption. We are beyond excited to embark on this beautiful next chapter of parenthood in both peace and privacy," they stated at the time. Brown also expressed her intention to have a biological child in the future.
The couple married in 2024.
