Miley Cyrus has shed her last name across her social media platforms, now officially going by just "Miley." The change was implemented on Monday, preceding the release of her anticipated 10th studio album.

While Cyrus has not yet offered a direct explanation for the rebranding, she posted new photos of herself on Instagram with the simple caption "MILEY." This stylistic shift appears to coincide with a new phase in her music career, particularly after signing with Atlantic Records last month. She was previously with Columbia Records and RCA.

The upcoming album will follow her 2025 release, "Something Beautiful." In a recent interview with Wonderland magazine, Cyrus described her new music as a "love story" that is "layered" and reflects her current life stage. She noted that a "peaceful kind of love" has been a recurring theme across her last three records, encompassing both romantic love and self-love.

"Once your relationship with yourself changes, every relationship around you changes too," Cyrus shared. "I think this record celebrates both of those equally."

Last week, Cyrus was photographed entering a Los Angeles studio for a new project. The appearance came shortly after the news of her godmother, Dolly Parton's, death at age 80. Cyrus posted an emotional tribute to Parton on Instagram, calling her "an angel by my side" and reflecting on their last conversations about music and "metamorphosis."
