Actor Mickey Rourke was photographed in Los Angeles earlier this week appearing disheveled and showing missing teeth while taking his three dogs for a walk. He wore a gray zip-up hoodie, ripped jeans, and aviator sunglasses.
This appearance follows his eviction from a Los Angeles home earlier this year. Rourke had claimed he withheld nearly $60,000 in rent due to "unacceptable living conditions," citing "ongoing rodent issues" and problems with the bathroom and plumbing. His landlord's attorney stated that the landlord had waited nearly a year for unpaid rent and made multiple attempts to resolve the matter privately before initiating eviction proceedings. A court filing in December had requested Rourke vacate the property within three days or pay $59,100 in back rent.
Following the eviction, Rourke was reportedly staying in a luxury hotel in West Hollywood. A GoFundMe campaign was launched by a friend to assist Rourke with housing costs, but the actor publicly denied involvement, expressing confusion and frustration with the fundraiser. He stated in a January Instagram video that he would prefer not to seek external financial assistance.
Reports at the time of the eviction suggested Rourke was living "paycheck-to-paycheck," with a source indicating that the income from his recent film roles was insufficient for his accustomed lifestyle. The same source described his financial habits as spending money so quickly that he quickly returns to a starting point after earning income.
