The trailer for Prime Video's new docuseries, "Meet The Owens," has been released, giving viewers a glimpse into the life of former England footballer Michael Owen and his family. The six-part series chronicles a year in the life of Michael, his wife Louise, and their four children – Gemma, James, Emily, and Jessica – as they balance a burgeoning horse racing business with their home life.

Since retiring from professional football, Owen has transitioned into the world of horse racing, establishing Manor House Stables in 2006. The docuseries centers on this venture and the family's involvement.

The show will also highlight the family's personal lives, including the children's individual aspirations. The youngest, Jessica, aims to become an Olympic showjumping champion, while 18-year-old Emily is pursuing a university education. James, 20, who has a degenerative eye condition known as Stargardt disease, is looking to join the family business. His diagnosis meant he could not pursue a football career, and his sister Gemma has spoken about being protective of him.

Michael's son James also makes a rare appearance, having previously spoken about being considered clinically blind by age 13 after being diagnosed with a rare eye condition

Eldest daughter Gemma, a presenter and equestrian with a significant social media following, is taking on a new challenge: training to become a jockey. The trailer shows her preparing to race at Glorious Goodwood, a move her father supports. Gemma is set to compete in the Markel Magnolia Cup on Ladies Day at Goodwood, a ladies-only charity race. She noted that she had never sat on a racehorse until a few months prior to filming and that the training has been a humbling experience.

The sportsman's daughters Gemma and Emily confess their dad can be 'embarrassing' at times, as the trailer shows his eldest rolling her eyes at her dad's cheeky behaviour

In the trailer, Michael Owen makes light of perceptions of him being a "boring p****k," while his wife Louise recounts their history, having met in primary school and married in 2005. Both Gemma and Emily acknowledge their father can be "embarrassing." The series also features a rare appearance by James Owen.

The six-part docuseries follows a year in the life of Michael, his wife Louise, and their four children as they juggle a horse racing business while contending with a chaotic home life
