Melvin Odoom is set to become a father for the first time. The 46-year-old radio personality announced the news Friday on Instagram, where his pregnant girlfriend Hannah Holland shared photos of her baby bump.
In the black and white images, Holland, 32, posed alongside Odoom, wearing jeans and an open white shirt that displayed her stomach. A close-up shot showed the couple's hands cradling Holland's bump, and another image captured Odoom taking photos of Holland.
Odoom captioned the post "Mum & Dad" with a grey heart, receiving numerous congratulatory messages from fans and celebrity friends. Rochelle Humes, a close friend, wrote, "Couldn’t be happier my brother." Sarah Louise, wife of Aston Merrygold, commented, "Oh my goodness Melv ♥️ the biggest congratulations to you both! Such beautiful news." Joe Wicks also sent his congratulations, calling the news "wonderful."
Odoom and Holland met in 2024 backstage at "I'm A Celebrity" in Australia. Holland was present for work in her role as CEO of the London-based Entertainment Agency HLD, which represents GK Barry, a contestant on the show.
Their romance reportedly began backstage, with Holland observing from the friends and family area while Odoom was nearby after being voted out of the jungle.
Last year, a source told The Sun that Odoom and Holland were "incredibly happy together" and that their "chemistry is undeniable," though they aimed to keep their relationship private.
Odoom's announcement follows his departure from BBC Radio 1 in July, as part of a schedule shakeup. He was among six DJs who lost their jobs, with the station planning to bring in new talent and social media influencers as replacements.
Rickie Haywood-Williams, 46, and Odoom had presented the mid-morning Live Lounge slot for seven and five years respectively. Odoom had joined Radio 1 in 2019, moving from the Kiss Breakfast Show with his longtime collaborators Rickie and Charlie Hedges.
