Melanie C has shared a behind-the-scenes look at her wedding to Australian model Chris Dingwall, in a video released by Vogue. The ceremony took place on Saturday in the Lake District at The Country House Cumbria.
The singer, known as Sporty Spice, wore a custom Adidas satin bridal gown and sliders for the occasion, which featured the date of the wedding. Her fellow Spice Girls members Emma Bunton, Geri Horner, and Mel B were in attendance and reunited with her on the dancefloor at the reception. Victoria Beckham, who designed Melanie C's wedding dress, was unable to attend due to being in America for the World Cup.
Melanie C, 52, told Vogue that she met Dingwall on the dating app Raya in 2023. She described the meeting as having an immediate spark, stating, "I was 49 when I met Chris and I was in a really good place." She also noted how Dingwall has become a positive addition to her life and that of her 17-year-old daughter.
The wedding celebration included an emotional speech by Melanie C during the exchange of vows. For the reception, she changed into a second Adidas outfit, consisting of silk palazzo pants, a cropped bomber jacket, and an ab-baring crop top, paired with Adidas Superstar trainers adorned with the wedding date. Her guests also dressed in notable attire, with Mel B in a champagne bodycon dress, Geri Horner in a floral gown, and Emma Bunton in a Vivienne Westwood trouser suit.
The couple also had a legal ceremony in Australia. As a sentimental touch, Melanie C had the words 'Sydney' and '7.6.2026' embroidered in blue on the inside of her Victoria Beckham wedding gown, serving as her 'something blue' to commemorate their official marriage date and location. Victoria Beckham also lent Melanie C a dress for the Australian ceremony, which Melanie had originally ordered but which did not fit and could not be altered in time.
