Singer Meghan Trainor has found a unique way to help her 5-year-old son, Riley, cope with separation anxiety: a custom doll designed to look like her.

Trainor revealed the solution in an Instagram video on Thursday, explaining that Riley had started using his stuffed animals, including a Smurfette, to represent her when she wasn't present. This inspired Trainor to create a doll in her own likeness.

"I thought, 'I'll make a mama, I'll make a stuffie that looks like Mama,'" Trainor, 32, said, showcasing the doll, which features short blond hair and glasses similar to her own. "The thing is, I did."

She shared that Riley has embraced the doll, kissing and hugging it. "Showing off your mama doll," Trainor said to her son in the video. "Aw, you love it? You think this looks just like me?" Riley confirmed, "Yup," before running off.

Trainor, known for hits like "All About That Bass" and "Lips Are Movin'," shares Riley, 3-year-old son Barry, and 6-month-old daughter Mikey with her husband, Daryl Sabara.

The singer recently canceled her 2026 "Get in Girl" tour, which was scheduled to begin in June. She cited the demands of releasing a new album, preparing for the tour, and welcoming a new baby as overwhelming.

"Balancing the release of a new album, preparing for a nationwide tour and welcoming our new baby girl to our growing family of five has just been more than I can take on right now," Trainor stated via Instagram Stories in April. "I know this will come as a disappointment to my fans and I am so sorry to let you down, but I know this is the right decision for my family and me right now."

Trainor and Sabara also welcomed their daughter, Mikey, via surrogate in January. Trainor told People at the time that surrogacy was the "safest way" for them to expand their family.
