Meghan Markle will be featured as a guest judge on an upcoming episode of MasterChef Australia, challenging contestants to prepare a dish "fit for a Duchess." The appearance was filmed in April during the couple's tour of Australia.

The episode is scheduled to air on Sunday, July 26, at 7 p.m. on Channel 10. Markle, who has expressed a passion for food and Australia, stated that her love for both influenced her decision to participate. "It was an easy yes," she said in a press release. "It's such a great show. I'm just really honored that I was asked to be here with you and to be able to judge some of these meals."

Markle reportedly asked contestants to incorporate sentimental value and personal stories into their dishes, using seasonal ingredients available in Australia. The challenge is set to include produce such as Brussels sprouts, celeriac, macadamia nuts, quince, lemons, apples, mandarins, and strawberries, with Australian honey as an option.

Reports indicate that Markle expressed frustration when the show's promotional material referred to her as "royalty," with her team having specifically requested that the term not be used. This instance occurred amidst broader scrutiny of the couple's engagements during their tour, which involved a mix of charity events and commercial appearances.

During her time on the MasterChef Australia set, Markle was photographed with fellow judges Poh Ling Yeow, Jean-Christophe Novelli, and Sofia Levin. She also participated in a segment where she served frittata at a women's homeless and family violence shelter in Melbourne.
