Meghan Markle is reportedly considering a return to acting as she and Prince Harry prepare for a potential move back to England. An Australian outlet, News.com.au, has reported that Markle has been offered a role in an upcoming project based in the U.K. Sources close to the couple have not denied the report, though further specifics remain undisclosed, according to Variety.

Markle is widely recognized for her role as Rachel Zane in the legal drama "Suits," in which she starred for seven seasons between 2011 and 2018. She also appeared in films such as "Remember Me" and "Horrible Bosses." In 2017, prior to her engagement to Prince Harry, Markle announced her decision to step away from her acting career to focus on royal duties.

"It’s a new chapter, right?" Markle said at the time, referring to her departure from "Suits." "I’ve ticked this box, and I feel very proud of the work I’ve done there, and now it’s time to work with [Harry] as a team."

Her final appearance on "Suits" was in the Season 7 finale in April 2018, one month before her wedding to Prince Harry. While reports of a potential acting comeback surfaced in November 2025, indicating a cameo as herself in the Amazon MGM comedy "Close Personal Friends" alongside Brie Larson and Lily Collins, this new report suggests a more substantial role.

A source reportedly close to the Amazon MGM Studios production told The Sun that the role would be "a massive moment for Meghan and signifies a return to doing what she truly loves." The same source indicated that Markle has received numerous offers but felt this particular project was the right fit. "It is Meghan’s way of gently putting her toe back in the water and seeing how she enjoys being back on set," the insider added, noting that those involved were sworn to secrecy.

Prince Harry is said to be supportive of her decision, with the source stating he "wants Meghan to do whatever brings her joy."
