The upcoming fifth season of Paramount+'s "Mayor of Kingstown" will be the show's last, according to recent reports. Production on the final season has concluded as of early July. The crime thriller, co-created by Taylor Sheridan and Hugh Dillon, is expected to premiere in late 2026, potentially November or December.

The final season will feature eight episodes. This season introduces Russell Hardy, an FBI agent played by David Morse, who is poised to alter the established power dynamics in Kingstown.

While an official release date for Season 5 has not yet been announced, the production timeline offers clues. Season 4 concluded production in early June 2025 and premiered on October 26, 2025. Given this pattern and the September premiere of "MobLand" Season 2, with "Tulsa King" likely following in October, a late 2026 launch for "Mayor of Kingstown" is anticipated.

"Mayor of Kingstown" premiered in November 2021. The first four seasons are currently available for streaming on Paramount+. The platform offers two subscription tiers: Essential, typically priced at $8.99 per month with ads, and Premium, at $13.99 per month, which is ad-free and includes Showtime titles and live CBS. Both plans offer a seven-day free trial for new subscribers.

Paramount+ can also be added to Hulu or Amazon accounts for $13.99 per month, with free trials available for new users on those platforms.
