Maya Jama made her first appearance on American television on Tuesday, arriving at the studios in New York City in a striking PVC ensemble. The British presenter, 31, was set to appear on ABC's "Good Morning America," a milestone she teased on her Instagram Stories.
Jama, known for hosting "Love Island UK," has been expanding her career with roles in "Celebrity Traitors UK" and Guy Ritchie's upcoming crime comedy, "The Gentlemen." The latter project marks her significant acting debut.
Jama arrived at the "Good Morning America" studios in a bold, plunging PVC co-ord paired with towering high heels, drawing attention as she stepped out in the city. She expressed her nerves and excitement about the live American TV appearance.
Jama's appearance comes shortly after reports surfaced of her spending time with chef James Freeman. The two were seen together outside his restaurant in Notting Hill, West London, sharing a hug and appearing close, according to an onlooker. However, a source indicated that they are friends and that Freeman is in a relationship.
Jama previously ended her relationship with Manchester City footballer Ruben Dias in April. She addressed the breakup in a social media post, stating her approach to relationships is "all or nothing" and that she does not base personal decisions on public opinion. Dias has maintained that no lines were crossed in their relationship and that the breakup was private, emphasizing mutual respect.
Jama's recent activities also include filming "The Gentlemen," which is expected to showcase her acting talents in a comedic crime setting.
