Maureen McCormick and her husband, Michael Cummings, were photographed together in Los Angeles recently, presenting a quiet picture of married life more than four decades after the actress rose to fame as Marcia Brady and later battled serious substance addiction.

Daily Mail published exclusive photos showing McCormick, 69, and Cummings, 74, running errands and grabbing lunch at the upscale Erewhon market and a trendy vegan restaurant in Los Angeles on Aug. 19. The images show the couple holding one another and leaving the café in a relaxed manner. McCormick was dressed in high-waisted jeans, a bright yellow blouse and white sneakers; Cummings was seen with his arm around her waist. After lunch the pair met a male friend, whom McCormick kissed on the lips before she and Cummings continued on to the supermarket, the report said.

McCormick became a household name at 13 as Marcia Brady on the ABC sitcom The Brady Bunch, which aired from 1969 to 1974. In a 2008 memoir, Here’s the Story: Surviving Marcia Brady and Finding My True Voice, she chronicled a post‑show life that included cocaine addiction, trading sex for drugs, depression and an eating disorder. McCormick has said in interviews and in the memoir that an ultimatum from Cummings — to get sober or face divorce — helped prompt her recovery.

The couple married in 1985 and share a daughter, Natalie, who is in her mid‑30s. They live outside Los Angeles and have been public about the strain addiction once placed on their marriage. Cummings has continued to work as an actor, with credits on series including Criminal Minds and Fresh Off the Boat and roles in films and television projects dating back decades.

McCormick has periodically returned to television in smaller roles and appearances. She competed on Dancing With the Stars in 2016 and has reprised the Marcia Brady character in various Brady Bunch reunions and spinoffs over the years. Members of the original Brady cast include Barry Williams, Eve Plumb, Susan Olsen, Mike Lookinland and Christopher Knight; Robert Reed and Florence Henderson, who played the parents on the show, have died.

In recent years McCormick has spoken about maintaining sobriety and rebuilding her life and career after the turmoil that followed the end of The Brady Bunch. Her appearance with Cummings on the errands reported this month was framed by the Daily Mail as evidence of their enduring relationship and of McCormick’s long-standing recovery.

Representatives for McCormick and Cummings did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

The outing comes as a reminder of the long arc of many child stars’ lives: early fame, struggles after a hit series ends, and the possibility of later stability. McCormick and Cummings’s public history — from marriage amid addiction to reported sobriety and continued work in entertainment — traces those shifts across four decades.
