Maura Higgins has temporarily moved out of her £1.25 million Essex mansion as ongoing renovations have created a dusty living environment. The decision coincides with her upcoming relocation to Los Angeles for her participation in the 35th season of 'Dancing With The Stars', the U.S. version of 'Strictly Come Dancing'.

Since purchasing the property in October 2024, Higgins has undertaken significant renovations, including the installation of a new bathroom, sauna, and a personal "hairdrobe." She explained in a fan Q&A that the extensive dust from the construction made living in the house untenable, especially with her frequent travel schedule.

"I just needed somewhere I could unpack, repack and head straight back to the airport without living on a building site," Higgins stated. She anticipates returning to the house once the renovations are complete, expressing excitement about the transformation.

Higgins' move to Los Angeles is driven by her role in the upcoming season of 'Dancing With The Stars,' which is set to begin in September. She was announced as the first celebrity contestant for the season in April, sharing her enthusiasm on social media with the caption, "I TINK IM VERY EXCITED!"

The former 'Love Island' star has been building a career in the United States, recently appearing on 'The US Traitors.' Her growing U.S. profile has led to significant opportunities, including interest from American television shows and brands. Reports suggest she has signed with a major U.S. talent agency, Creative Artists Agency, and is in talks with beauty brands and potential television projects.

Her previous home in the UK was reportedly raided, prompting Higgins to ensure her new property is located within a private and secure gated development. She also attended the Golden Globes in Los Angeles, mingling with prominent figures in the entertainment industry.
