The live-action "Masters of the Universe" film is now available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video as of July 22. The reboot, based on Mattel's toy line, features Nicholas Galitzine as Prince Adam, also known as He-Man.

The story follows Adam's return to his home planet of Eternia to defend it against the villainous Skeletor, portrayed by Jared Leto. Adam is aided by his childhood friend Teela, played by Camila Mendes, and her father Duncan, a character brought to life by Idris Elba.

Critics have noted the film's embrace of its inherent silliness rather than attempting a darker, more serious tone. In a three-star review, the film was described as "fun, helium light."

For those without a Prime Video subscription, Amazon offers a 30-day free trial of Amazon Prime, which includes access to Prime Video and other Prime perks. After the trial period, Amazon Prime membership costs $14.99 per month or $139 per year. A discounted Prime for Young Adults membership is also available for individuals aged 18 to 24, offering a 50% discount on the monthly price after a six-month free trial.

The cast also includes Alison Brie as Evil-Lyn, James Purefoy as King Randor, Charlotte Riley as Queen Marlena, and Morena Baccarin as the Sorceress. Supporting roles include Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson as Fisto, Jon Xue Zhang as Ram-Man, and Sasheer Zamata as Suzie, Adam's boss on Earth.

While a Blu-ray release date has not yet been announced by Amazon MGM Studios, preorders for 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and DVD versions of the film are currently available.
