The second season of Taylor Sheridan’s Yellowstone spinoff, "Marshals," is set to premiere on Sunday, October 4, 2026, on CBS, with episodes also available for streaming on Paramount+. The early renewal came in March 2026, driven by the series premiere becoming the "best network TV launch since 2017" and the "most streamed CBS episode ever."
CBS Entertainment President Amy Reisenbach cited the show's "breakout performance" and "overwhelming viewer response" as factors in its success, highlighting the "strength of the YELLOWSTONE world" and the "bold character-driven storytelling."
Season 2 Premiere Episode and Storylines
The first episode of Season 2, titled "All Hat No Cattle," will see Kayce (Luke Grimes) go "rogue in a desperate race to save his son" after realizing Tate has been taken hostage. The Marshals will also uncover a "powerful criminal operation tied to the East Camp land grab," leading to a "violent showdown that puts everything Kayce cares about at risk."
Season 1 concluded with several storylines left unresolved. Cruz was planning to relocate to Washington D.C., Belle and Cal were facing a dangerous investigation, Kayce was developing a relationship with Dolly, and Tate was on a fishing trip with Tom Weaver, who is expected to be a primary antagonist in Season 2.
"Marshals" will return to its regular Sunday 8:00 p.m. ET/PT time slot starting October 11. However, the October 4 premiere will air at 8:30 p.m. ET due to an NBC doubleheader.
Other Yellowstone Spinoffs
"Dutton Ranch," another Yellowstone spinoff starring Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser, has also been renewed for a second season. Production is slated to begin in early 2027, with the writing room starting soon. While no official premiere date has been set for "Dutton Ranch" Season 2, a 2027 release is anticipated if production timelines hold.
