Bec Zacharia, a participant on Married At First Sight, has revealed the nature of the online abuse she endures, including messages attacking her appearance, weight, and even her food choices. Zacharia, 36, stated that she regularly receives messages from individuals calling her names and criticizing her for her eating habits.

She shared an instance where she posted a picture of a doughnut, received from her grandmother, and was subsequently accused of undermining her own health journey. Zacharia, who has lost 30 kilograms, said a woman commented that her actions did not align with her weight-loss efforts.

Despite the constant scrutiny, Zacharia stated that she laughs off the negative comments and does not let them affect her. She believes the individuals sending hateful messages are either men who desire her or people projecting their own insecurities. "In my opinion, anyone who takes the time to message hate to a stranger on social media is projecting!" she said.

Zacharia also addressed criticism regarding her appearance following a "Barbie waist" surgery she underwent earlier in the year. She reported that many online commenters told her she looked better before the procedure and that she is now being called ugly.

However, Zacharia asserts that this commentary has not deterred her from pursuing a social media career, which critics had previously told her she would not achieve. She maintains that she has never been more comfortable with her appearance and has no intention of allowing online strangers to dictate her life choices.

"They are the unhappy ones because I am not doing anything other than living my own exciting life. It says more about them than it does about me," Zacharia stated, emphasizing her resolve to disregard the negativity. She also shared an example of receiving only a rat emoji as a message, which she interpreted as an insult and a reflection of the sender's self-hate.
