Country music singer Maren Morris has publicly shared a kiss with fellow artist Cassadee Pope, appearing to confirm their relationship. Pope posted a photo on her Instagram Stories of the two locking lips, with the caption, “She won’t go out with you because she’s out with me, silly @marenmorris.”
In another post, Pope shared a picture of Morris embracing her and asked followers to help persuade Morris to move to New York City. Morris, who previously attended Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's wedding, was at Madison Square Garden on a Friday night, though Pope was not her date for the event. Instead, Morris spent time with country stars Miranda Lambert and Kelsea Ballerini.
Morris finalized her divorce from musician Ryan Hurd in October 2023 after five years of marriage. The couple shares a 6-year-old son, Hayes. Morris publicly came out as bisexual in June 2024, four months after her divorce was finalized. She shared her identity on Instagram with the message, “Happy to be the B in LGBTQ+, happy pride 🌈."
Previously, Morris detailed a negative experience from her first relationship with a woman, describing it in an April TikTok video as involving "lies, threats to my reputation and borderline extortion." She stated that this experience was "pretty f
-ked up" and made her "just really cool being alone."
Pope was previously engaged to Rian Dawson, drummer for the band All Time Low, but they ended their engagement in July 2017. She later dated British actor Sam Palladio, but they separated in 2024. Pope has also been a vocal supporter of the LGBTQ community. In March 2024, she announced on Instagram that she had become ordained in 2020 and could perform marriage ceremonies for same-sex couples, particularly in response to a Tennessee bill that would allow public officials to refuse marrying couples at their discretion. She captioned her announcement, “I now pronounce you whatever the hell you want.”
