Mama June Shannon has listed her daughter Jessica Shannon's wedding dress for sale on Instagram, weeks after Jessica and her wife Shyann McCant announced the end of their marriage.
Jessica, 29, and McCant legally married in February 2025, with a larger wedding ceremony taking place in October of the same year. The event was featured in the season eight finale of the WE tv series "Mama June: From Not to Hot." However, the couple announced in June 2026 that they had "mutually decided" to end their union.
Shannon, 47, shared photos of the gown on Instagram, noting its condition and details. "Well the marriage didn’t work but the wedding dress was beautiful," she wrote. "We are selling Jessica's wedding [dress]. It’s a beautiful dress. It’s a size 20W [and it] hasn’t been altered. It has pockets."
She clarified that the dress had not been dry-cleaned but assured potential buyers that it had "no stains." Shannon stated she paid $1,500 for the gown and was seeking $800 or best offer, adding that shipping or local pickup arrangements could be made. "Serious inquiries only," she concluded. "A beautiful dress for a beautiful bride."
The dress features intricate floral detailing on the chest area, a low-cut neckline, a fitted bodice, and a flowing skirt. Jessica and Shyann began their relationship in July 2022 and became engaged in September 2024.
The announcement of the dress sale has drawn some criticism from followers. Some commenters expressed concerns about purchasing a dress from a failed marriage, with one calling it "bad luck" and another questioning the decision to sell an uncleaned gown. "Goodness have it dry cleaned that’s gross! It is a very beautiful dress, but I would never buy a worn dress for $800," one user commented.
Following their split, Jessica confirmed the separation in a Facebook post, stating, "Me and Shyann are no longer together. We mutually decided that it was the best decision for both of us." She asked for respect and requested that "mean comments or unnecessary drama" be avoided during this difficult time. She also indicated that she and McCant remained friends and were cordial with each other.
According to reports, Jessica had moved back into her mother's Georgia home shortly after announcing the separation.
