Married At First Sight UK stars Jenna Robinson and Zoe Clifton have married in an intimate garden ceremony, marking four years since they first met on the E4 reality show. The couple, who made history as the show's first lesbian couple in 2022, shared details and photos from their wedding on Instagram.
Robinson posted a series of images from the celebration, captioning it: "The day before, morning of and aftermath of the best day of my life…I love you." The ceremony featured personalized barbecue food and decorations displaying the couple's new marital surname.
The couple announced their engagement in 2024, two years after being paired together by the show's experts. Earlier this month, they had shared that they were weeks away from their wedding and were handling the decorations themselves to make the event more personal.
Robinson explained in an Instagram Q&A that the event was intended to be a small garden party, emphasizing intimacy. "Having family and friends help out too if they want – that's me asking you guys!" she said. "So it's just a small garden party. It's not in a church, it's just going to be small and intimate."
She noted that while she considered the event small, she had invited many people, including colleagues. "But obviously Zoe's parents aren't going to be happy about that because it's in their garden. I need to learn when to close my mouth, however I do just want it to be like a party. Like an open door, or garden gate."
When they announced their engagement, the couple wrote on Instagram, "We've been keeping a little secret... A week ago the absolute love of my life asked me to marry her from me being a little slow on the uptake, thinking Zoe had just gone a little overboard for date night to Bobo setting himself on fire. It was perfect and chaotic and just very 'us'. Not to be cliché but I genuinely didn't think that this type of love actually existed, to have someone who loves you, cares and respects you as much as you do them, is the most incredible feeling... and now I get to marry my best friend instead of a stranger! I guess we have a particular TV show to thank for setting us up on the wildest 1st date ever.. so thank you @e4mafsuk @e4grams."
Robinson and Clifton are among a few couples from MAFS UK to have had lasting relationships. The show has faced scrutiny in recent months, including allegations of sexual assault during filming, which have been denied by the individuals concerned. Separately, a former contestant was arrested on suspicion of rape following a BBC Panorama documentary. The broadcast of a current series, filmed earlier this year, is pending the results of an external investigation.
