Holly Ditchfield, a participant on Married at First Sight UK, has announced the devastating loss of her twin sons, Georgie and Marley. The premature babies died within hours of each other, nine days after their birth.
Ditchfield, 31, gave birth to Georgie and Marley at 23 weeks gestation on August 26. Georgie weighed 1lb 1oz and Marley weighed 1lb 2oz. Georgie passed away on Thursday, September 3, 2026, at 1 p.m., followed by Marley at 5 a.m. the next day. Both boys died while being held by Ditchfield and her partner, Aaron Summers.
In an Instagram post, Ditchfield described the past nine days as the "hardest, most heartbreaking, yet most magical" of their lives. She expressed profound grief, stating, "My body feels different. It feels like a part of me is no longer here, because a part of me truly isn’t." She added, "I miss my boys more than words could ever explain" and wished they could have lived to see their lives unfold.
Ditchfield had previously shared updates on her sons' health, noting their strength despite their early arrival. She thanked the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) team for their care. "Our tiny boys may be incredibly small, but they have already shown us just how incredibly strong they are," she wrote on August 28, 2026. "They are both doing amazing and showing absolutely impeccable reactions to all the treatment and care they are receiving in NICU."
She explained at the time that preparing for the arrival of premature babies at 23 weeks was unexpected, but the support from medical teams helped them navigate the experience. Ditchfield and Summers have been dating since early 2025. Ditchfield has two children from a previous relationship, Daisy, 12, and Dec, 16, while Summers has three children.
Ditchfield appeared on MAFS UK in 2024, where she was partnered with Alex Henry. Their relationship on the show experienced difficulties, leading to Ditchfield's departure from the program.
Messages of condolence have been shared by followers on social media. Ditchfield requested privacy for herself and Summers as they process their grief.
