Cheska Hull, one of the original cast members of the reality series Made in Chelsea, has relocated to Phuket, Thailand, with her seven-year-old son, Charlie, announcing a fresh chapter after leaving the show more than a decade ago and a recent split from her fiancé.
Hull, who first appeared on Made in Chelsea in 2011 and departed in 2014, has said reality television left her struggling with the way producers portrayed her and that she "lost her life" while grappling with the public attention and resulting depression. Born in Bangkok, she has family and friends in Thailand and described the move as a return to a place she considers a "home from home."
Hull's decision to leave the spotlight in 2014 followed several tense moments on screen and growing discomfort with reality TV. She was among the castmembers who featured in high-profile confrontations on the show, including an incident in which fellow cast member Victoria Baker-Harber verbally attacked her at a festive dinner table. After departing television, Hull moved to Devon, where she raised her son and began a quieter life.
In Devon, Hull entered relationships and navigated parenthood as a single mother. She has previously spoken about a pregnancy that ended after she and the father separated, and later formed a blended family when she began a relationship with carpenter Damian Crook. The couple announced an engagement last year after roughly 11 months together and combined their families, but they parted ways in September. Friends said the split reflected differing life trajectories; the two have remained friendly and said their children remain a priority.
Hull announced in June that she and Charlie would relocate to Phuket. She has posted regular updates about her new routine on social media, writing, "Life! I'm living it! It's been a month since we moved to Thailand and we are settling in and loving our new life! Charlie has a new school and has made some lovely new friends! I have spent time with old friends and met new ones! I'm loving remote working and had a blast with my mum who had helped me settle in."
While in Phuket, Hull has continued professional work remotely as a public relations representative for the company Raw Food and Drink. She has described a daily working setup that involves using a five-star hotel beach club as a remote office, commuting by shuttle and walking through the grounds to her workspace. Hull has also engaged with local businesses, modeling handwoven bags for a Thai studio, DJing at venues on the island and attending networking lunches with other residents and business owners.
Her social-media posts show family-focused activities, beach dinners and community events, and she has highlighted the role of her extended network in helping her and her son settle. Hull has said her move is not purely a reaction to personal upheaval, pointing to her childhood ties to Bangkok and an existing circle in Thailand as factors in choosing Phuket as a base.
Hull's move marks a continued retreat from the kind of fame that marked her early 20s on Made in Chelsea. The programme, which chronicled the social lives of a group of young people in west London and the city's affluent boroughs, launched in 2011 and made household names of many of its cast. Hull's departure in 2014 came three years into the series, and she has since pursued a life focused on family, work outside broadcasting and, now, a return to Southeast Asia.
In posts since relocating, Hull has documented the practicalities of life abroad—Charlie settling into school, collaboration with local brands and the logistics of remote work—while framing the move as an opportunity to prioritise wellbeing and family life. She continues to balance professional commitments and parenting while living overseas.
