Cheska Hull, an original cast member of the reality series Made in Chelsea, has relocated to Phuket, Thailand, with her seven-year-old son, Charlie, as she pursues a quieter, beach-based life and continues to work remotely for a food and drink PR company.
Hull announced the move publicly in June and shared a month-later update on social media saying: "Life! I'm living it! It's been a month since we moved to Thailand and we are settling in and loving our new life!" She added that Charlie had a new school and new friends, and that she had reconnected with old friends and built a local network while balancing remote work.
Hull came to public attention in 2011 as part of Made in Chelsea's inaugural cast, where she was portrayed as a posh PR figure and appeared on the show for four years before quitting in 2014. She later said the experience left her struggling with depression and feeling that she had "lost my life" as producers shaped scenes and storylines. On-screen confrontations, including a widely reported exchange in which fellow cast member Victoria Baker-Harber hurled insults at Hull during a festive dinner scene, marked some of the program's most heated moments.
After leaving television, Hull moved to Salcombe, Devon, where she lived for several years and raised Charlie as a single mother following the end of a relationship with a local chef. In 2023 she announced an engagement to Damian Crook, a carpenter and father of three whom she met on the school run; the pair combined their families and lived together for a period. They separated in 2024, and Hull later said their lives had been on "different trajectories" though they remained friends and continued to prioritize their children.
Hull was born in Bangkok and has described Thailand as a "home from home." In Phuket she has been integrating into the local community, sharing images of beach dinners, family outings and social events on Instagram. She has described a work routine that includes commuting by shuttle to a five-star hotel and using a beach club as a workspace, and she has attended networking lunches with local residents and business owners.
Professionally, Hull continues to work in public relations for Raw Food and Drink while pursuing local collaborations. She has DJed at venues in Phuket and modelled for T.A.I Studio's handwoven bags, and she has posted about working from resort settings such as Solis Phuket.
Hull's move comes more than a decade after she left the spotlight of reality television and followed a period of family change. She has spoken openly about the toll that early fame took on her mental health and about the conscious choice to step back from public life to focus on family and well-being. In her public posts since moving, she has framed the relocation as a practical decision rooted in family ties—she was born in Bangkok and has friends and family in Thailand—rather than a sudden reaction to personal setbacks.
On social media, Hull has documented the practical side of the transition as well as leisure moments, noting that she is "loving remote working" and has the support of her mother, who helped with the move. She has not announced plans to return to regular television work; instead, her posts emphasize parenting, local projects and balancing work with the informal pace of life on the island.
Hull's relocation underscores a broader trend of former reality television personalities stepping away from mainstream media roles to pursue remote work and lower-profile lives abroad. In Hull's case, the move returns her, in part, to the country of her birth and to a lifestyle she says suits her family and professional needs.
