Marks & Spencer has launched its new 'Dress to Thrill' collection with a groundbreaking fashion show held on the pit lane of the Silverstone circuit. The event, which took place ahead of the 2026 British Grand Prix weekend, featured 50 models showcasing the latest M&S designs against the backdrop of race cars and engineering equipment.

This marks a significant moment for M&S, as it aims to capture the excitement and global attention surrounding Formula 1. The brand seeks to leverage the considerable audience of the Grand Prix, which is expected to draw half a million fans to Silverstone and over 1.8 billion viewers worldwide. This initiative follows a successful summer for M&S, which included a widely viewed Ibiza catwalk show.

The 'Dress to Thrill' collection offers a sophisticated palette of monochrome shades and soft neutrals, accented with racing-inspired red. Denim features prominently with contemporary twists like cropped trucker jackets and barrel-leg jeans. Prices for the collection start at £16, with individual pieces including a technical windbreaker priced at £58, a skirt at £46, and heels at £35. Other items highlighted include a blazer for £65, trousers for £40, and leather court shoes for £66. A bodysuit is available for £25, paired with a textured skirt for £50, and sunglasses for £10.

Fashion journalists and influencers, including fashion editor Hannah Skelley, were present for a preview. Skelley noted the collection's quality and true-to-size fit, characteristic of M&S. She particularly praised a black and white checked co-ord set, comprising a lightweight bomber jacket (£46) and a matching midi circle skirt (£38), citing its technical fabric and luxe finish. The leather court shoes in Ferrari red (£66) were also singled out for their supple and elegant design.

M&S ambassadors David Gandy and Jodie Kidd, alongside unrevealed motorsport personalities, were reportedly in attendance. The brand hopes this event will continue its strong performance, building on recent successes and further solidifying its presence in the fashion landscape.
