Darts prodigy Luke Littler is set to star in a new live Netflix event titled 'Beat the Big One,' where members of the public will have the opportunity to challenge him. The competition, scheduled for October 30, will feature 20 chosen amateur players who will face off against the 19-year-old champion.

Participants in the event stand to win a jackpot of £501,000, a figure referencing the 501 starting points in a standard darts game. To qualify, individuals interested in competing can enter regional heats to be held in London and Manchester in September. The application process involves answering questions about their darts experience and their reasons for believing they can defeat Littler.

The series is open to individuals aged 12 and over, with those under 18 requiring accompaniment by a parent or guardian during auditions. Littler, who achieved fame at the age of 16 during his historic run to the final of the PDC World Darts Championship in January 2024, has since secured victories in the Premier League and Grand Slam of Darts. He also became the youngest world number one at the 2025 PDC World Darts Championship at 17.

This upcoming event follows Littler's recent triumph in retaining his Betfred World Matchplay title. He defeated Gerwyn Price 18-9 in the final, setting a new record for the highest average in a World Matchplay final with 111.53, and surpassing Phil Taylor's previous record of 106.31. Littler also broke his own competition record for the most 180s scored in a single tournament during the event.

With wins in the World Championship, UK Open, Premier League, and the Masters already under his belt this year, Littler is on track for a potential clean sweep of major trophies.
