Former 'Love Island' contestants Lucie Donlan and Luke Mabbott have married in a ceremony held in Cornwall on June 17. The couple, who were engaged for five years, shared moments from their wedding day on social media.
In a clip posted to Instagram, Donlan, 28, and Mabbott, 31, are seen running into the ocean in their wedding attire. Donlan, who wore a white bridal gown with a long train and a cathedral-length veil, shared the sentiment, "You only get married once... run into the sea in your wedding dress and kiss your husband." Mabbott wore a white tuxedo with a black bowtie.
The ceremony took place in a barn, and the announcement was met with congratulations from fellow celebrities. The couple met in July 2020 after Donlan messaged Mabbott on social media. They became engaged in December 2021, when Mabbott proposed during a trip to Finland.
Donlan, a model and surfer, first appeared on 'Love Island' in 2019. Mabbott gained fame on the first winter edition of the show in 2020. The couple are currently renovating a home in Cornwall. Donlan had previously mentioned a preference for a smaller, more intimate wedding, potentially involving only close family and friends, though they had also considered a private ceremony for just the two of them.
Donlan also recently held a hen party described as a "dream hen do" with activities by the water and in the woods, incorporating themes like Cornish pasties and dressing up as fairies and mermaids. Earlier in the year, she shared a video of herself trying on her mother's vintage wedding dress during a shopping trip.
