A second contestant, Alannah Keyser, has been removed from the current season of Love Island USA due to the emergence of social media posts that appear to show her using a racial slur. The posts, which included a video of Keyser lip-syncing to a song containing the N-word and screenshots of her using the slur in private messages, were not publicly available until after she entered the villa. Sources indicated that this timing prevented the content from being flagged during the broadcaster Peacock's vetting process.

Keyser, who joined the show during the mid-season Casa Amor twist, had appeared briefly in the first 20 minutes of Thursday's episode before her departure was announced by the show's narrator. This marks the second instance this season where a contestant has been removed for racist language. Previously, Vasana Montgomery was removed after videos surfaced showing her using the N-word. Montgomery later issued an apology on Instagram, stating, "There is no excuse for it, and I am deeply sorry. I take full responsibility for what I said and understand why it has hurt and upset people."

This follows similar incidents in the seventh series of Love Island last year. Yulissa Escobar was asked to leave the villa after videos of her using a slur in a podcast circulated. She subsequently posted a TikTok video expressing regret for her words. Also in the same season, Cierra Ortega exited after using a term considered a slur against Asian people. Ortega later apologized, stating she had "genuinely had no idea" the term was considered a slur.
