Love Island star Molly Smith shared a deeply emotional moment from her recent wedding, capturing her father's reaction as he saw her in her bridal gown for the first time. The video, posted to Instagram, shows her father, John, overcome with emotion and wiping away tears as he prepared to walk his daughter down the aisle.
Molly Smith, 32, and her partner Tom Clare, 26, who won Love Island: All Stars in 2024, exchanged vows in a lavish ceremony in Mallorca over the weekend, following their legal ceremony last month. Smith captioned the clip, "The man who loved me first," while Clare commented, "Wow I've cried all week."
This was not the first time Smith's father became emotional regarding the couple. He had previously teared up when Tom Clare asked for permission to marry Molly. Clare recounted on their podcast, NearlyWeds, that he asked John for his blessing during a family barbecue. "And then he teared up. He did tear up and then gave me a big hug, which I thought was really really nice," Clare explained.
The wedding ceremony took place at the Son Marroig, a 17th-century marble temple with panoramic sea views. Smith wore an elegant beaded bridal gown, while Clare sported a white tuxedo. The reception was held at the Suculenta Port de Sóller restaurant.
Following the ceremony, guests, including fellow Love Island stars, celebrated into the night. The festivities reportedly led to a visit from the Guardia Civil after irritation from local yacht crew, though the wedding party appeared unfazed, with Smith sharing moments of her serving shots and joining guests in the sea.
