Lou Teasdale and footballer Andy Carroll arrived hand-in-hand at the Superdrug Star Awards in London on Tuesday, presenting a united front after fresh media speculation that the couple had split again.

Teasdale, 41, and Carroll, 36, posed together for photographs on the red carpet, with Teasdale wearing a plunging black top, flared trousers and a long black coat, and Carroll opting for a smart-casual grey button-up overshirt layered over a butter-yellow V-neck jumper and loose grey trousers.

The couple's appearance at the annual customer-voted awards, which celebrate health and beauty products stocked by Superdrug, came days after Carroll posted a loved-up photograph of the pair on Instagram that media outlets said was intended to quash rumours of a renewed split.

Other notable attendees included Strictly Come Dancing professionals Carlos Gu and Katya Jones; Love Island alumni Abi Moores and Nathan Campbell; Made in Chelsea star Olivia Bentley; Love Island couple Megan Moore and Dejon Noel Williams; Peter Andre’s daughter Princess Andre; footballer Bethany England; and Daisy and Phoebe Tomlinson, twin sisters of singer Louis Tomlinson. Presenter Olivia Cox also attended the event.

The outing followed a turbulent period for the couple. Reports earlier this month said the pair had split after a series of rows. Daily Mail reported that Teasdale had ended the relationship, while other outlets said the couple subsequently reconciled. Carroll later posted photographs that media described as confirming the pair were together again.

Earlier coverage quoted Carroll as saying he wanted to make changes to help the relationship, including cutting down on alcohol. According to The Sun, Carroll told the newspaper he loved Teasdale and her family and acknowledged difficulties stemming in part from his ongoing divorce from his former wife, Billi Mucklow. Media reports also noted social-media moves by both parties during the period, including accounts being unfollowed and images temporarily removed before being reinstated.

Representatives for Carroll and Teasdale did not immediately provide comment at the awards. The Superdrug Star Awards are held annually to showcase consumer-chosen winners in health and beauty, drawing a range of media and celebrity guests to the event.
