Lorraine Kelly's daughter, Rosie Smith, has married her partner Steve White in a ceremony held in Scotland.

Smith, 32, shared the news on her Instagram Stories, describing the weekend as the "most special weekend of our lives." She posted a photo from her hotel room in Edinburgh, writing, "Well we got married... Decompressing in Edinburgh after the most special weekend of our lives – will share more soon but taking the time to just soak it all up."

The couple, who announced their engagement two years ago in June 2024 while Rosie was pregnant, welcomed their daughter Billie in August 2024. Lorraine Kelly has since become a grandmother, a role she has described as a "second chance at motherhood."

Kelly, who has moved closer to her daughter's family, commented on the joys of being a grandmother. "It's great. To be honest with you, I'm getting a chance to be a mum again in a way," she told the Daily Mail. She explained that while Rosie is Billie's primary mother, the grandparent role allows her to experience parenting again, potentially with more perspective than when she raised Rosie while working.

Reflecting on her own experience, Kelly, who was 34 when Rosie was born and working, noted the challenges of balancing career and motherhood. She praised her daughter's abilities, stating, "She's incredible, absolutely incredible. I don't know how you do everything that you do, but it's lovely when it's your grandchild because you read those books that you read yourself."

Kelly also touched upon the changing attitudes towards working mothers and pregnancy on television. She recalled that in the 1990s, while less frowned upon than in the 1980s, it was still unusual for pregnant women to appear on live television. She cited Anne Diamond as a trailblazer in this regard.

Upon Billie's arrival in August 2024, Kelly shared her excitement on Instagram, calling the baby an "angel" and expressing pride in Rosie and Steve. "I'm delighted to be Granny Smith and can't wait to go on adventures," she wrote. Rosie welcomed her daughter, Billie Kelly Smith-White, stating it felt like the baby had "been here the whole time."
