Lori Loughlin has filed for divorce from her husband, Mossimo Giannulli, ending their nearly 29-year marriage. The "Full House" actress submitted paperwork for a dissolution of marriage before Labor Day weekend, listing Aug. 31, 2025, as their date of separation.
Loughlin cited "irreconcilable differences" as the legal grounds for the divorce. In the documents obtained by Fox News Digital, she requested that spousal support be determined at a later date. The couple married on Nov. 27, 1997.
Per a prenuptial agreement signed in October 1997, Loughlin confirmed that both parties possess separate property for assets and debts. She asked that a judge determine the rights to their community property in accordance with the prenup. Both Loughlin and Giannulli will be responsible for their individual attorney's fees.
Representatives for Loughlin and Giannulli did not immediately respond to requests for comment. Loughlin's representative had previously confirmed in October that the couple was living apart, stating that "there are no legal proceedings underway."
The couple shares two adult daughters, Olivia Jade and Bella Rose. Their separation comes five years after they were implicated in the Operation Varsity Blues college admissions scandal. Both Loughlin and Giannulli pleaded guilty to wire and mail fraud for their involvement in paying bribes to secure their daughters' admission to the University of Southern California. Loughlin served nearly three months in prison, and Giannulli served five months. Both were released by December 2020 and April 2021, respectively.
In an October 2025 interview on the "Good Guys" podcast, actor John Stamos defended Loughlin, calling Giannulli "a terrible narcissist" and Loughlin "a saint." Stamos suggested that Giannulli was primarily responsible for Loughlin's involvement in the scandal, stating, "I know for a fact it was all him."
