Lori Loughlin has filed for divorce from her husband, Mossimo Giannulli, after 28 years of marriage, citing irreconcilable differences. Loughlin filed the paperwork on Sept. 4, listing their separation date as Aug. 31, 2025.
The couple, who married on Nov. 27, 1997, share two daughters: Isabella Rose, 27, and Olivia Jade, 26.
According to court documents, Loughlin and Giannulli had a prenuptial agreement in place, signed on Oct. 28, 1997, and amended on Aug. 11, 2015. Loughlin has requested that spousal support be determined at a later date and that their separate properties, assets, and debts be divided according to the prenup. She is also asking her estranged husband to cover her attorney's fees and costs.
The news of the divorce filing comes after Page Six confirmed in October 2025 that the couple had separated and were living apart. At the time, a representative for Loughlin stated, "There are no legal proceedings underway."
Sources close to the couple told Us Weekly around the time of the separation that reconciliation was unlikely, with one insider noting that Loughlin initiated the split, believing a temporary break might help their marriage. However, the source added that they were no longer "on the same page."
Loughlin, 61, and Giannulli, 62, became prominent figures in the 2019 college admissions scandal. In May 2020, they pleaded guilty to conspiracy charges related to paying $500,000 to secure their daughters' admission to the University of Southern California as crew recruits, despite neither daughter being a rower. Loughlin served a two-month prison sentence, released in December 2020, while Giannulli completed a five-month sentence in April 2021.
Reports following the scandal suggested their marriage had been strained, with a source telling Us Weekly in January that the school scandal was a "turning point" and that Loughlin felt Giannulli had "gotten her involved" in the scheme. The source added that Loughlin "never fully forgave him and never fully got over it."
Since their separation, both Loughlin and Giannulli have been romantically linked to other individuals. Loughlin was photographed embracing James Tupper, and Giannulli has been seen with stylist Hannah Harrison. Their daughters, Olivia Jade and Isabella Rose, are reportedly having a difficult time with the split but are not taking sides, with a source telling People in October 2025 that the sisters "love their parents and just want them to be happy."
