Singer Lizzo marked "Fat Liberation Month" on Sunday by posting photos of herself in a shimmering purple string bikini from her Yitty Swim line. The Grammy winner, 38, posed poolside in the two-piece ensemble, which featured a triangle top and side-tie thong bottoms.

In an Instagram caption, Lizzo addressed "ladies over 200," urging them to "go outside n POP sumthin." The post garnered supportive comments from fans who praised her confidence and energy. "Lizzo said confidence all month long!" one follower wrote.

Lizzo launched Yitty in 2022 as a size-inclusive shapewear brand, later expanding into swimwear. She has been vocal about her body image journey, including intentionally gaining 20 pounds this year after having previously lost 60 pounds. "I wanted to get thicker. I wanted to get juicier and thicker, and I did," she told Sports Illustrated.

She previously wore a Yitty design for the July digital cover of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit. Reflecting on that moment, Lizzo stated, "It’s just incredible to see how we’ve redefined sexy, redefined confidence and redefined what a swimsuit body is since I was a kid."

In a 2025 interview with Women's Health, Lizzo clarified her message on body positivity, stating, "Body positivity has nothing to do with staying the same. Body positivity is the radical act of daring to exist loudly and proudly in a society that told you you shouldn’t exist."
