Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds were reportedly absent from Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's wedding celebrations in New York City this week. The couple was seen in Lake Placid, New York, attending their daughter Betty's horse show, approximately 300 miles from the festivities at Madison Square Garden.
Swift, who is the godmother to Lively and Reynolds' three daughters, was reportedly celebrating her wedding to Kelce with close friends and family. The event was described as an intimate, first-night party at Madison Square Garden, with a larger celebration for 1,000 guests planned for the following day.
Sources told the Daily Mail that Lively's absence from the guest list, if intentional, would be significant. "Madison Square Garden holds more than 20,000 people. If Blake isn't there, nobody can blame a lack of space," one source stated. "The guest list is so massive that Blake's absence becomes impossible to ignore. People will notice immediately."
Another source indicated that the guest list included "movie stars, athletes, politicians, and music royalty." The same source added, "When Blake isn't among them, that becomes one of the biggest stories of the night and Taylor knows it." The report suggests that if Lively was not invited, the decision was personal rather than logistical.
While Swift was reportedly joined by friends such as Selena Gomez and Gigi Hadid at her wedding events, Lively was seen in casual attire at her daughter's competition. The report from TMZ confirmed Lively and Reynolds' presence at the horse show.
