Lisa Snowdon, 53, posted a series of Instagram photos from a romantic getaway in Hội An, Vietnam, showing the television presenter in swimwear and relaxed street-style outfits alongside her fiancé, George Smart, 44.
In the snaps Snowdon wore a bandeau-style green bikini top with black low-rise bottoms, paired with a dark green cover-up, a black fedora, oversized sunglasses and a beige clutch. She captioned the post: "The most incredible time in Hoi An. The food, the history, the blood full moon, the puppies and the people all out of this world…. What an experience ♥️. Walking tour, cooking class, shopping for food in the market, all to come on here…. Right now we are off to another location to explore more of this incredible country." The couple were shown exploring the historic town, lounging by their hotel pool and sharing informal moments such as George Smart enjoying a pint while reclining in the water.
Other images from Snowdon’s feed included a mirror selfie in a light-brown foliage-print maxi dress by FARM Rio, a casual look of a blue tie-dye shirt with light-blue denim shorts, and a simple white vest top paired with the same denim shorts as she wandered local streets. One poolside shot showed Snowdon in a blue triangle bikini, while another captured Smart interacting with a small dog during an evening out.
Snowdon and Smart’s relationship dates back more than two decades. They first met when she was a DJ at MTV and he was the channel’s head of events. The pair rekindled their romance about a decade ago and became engaged in 2017.
While Snowdon has said she is excited by the idea of being able to call Smart her husband, she told The Mirror that she harbours "a tiny hint of reservation" about marriage, citing concerns about whether it could change the relationship and reflecting on her parents’ experience. "There’s 90 per cent of me that knows nothing would change, but a tiny hint of reservation where I think it would," she said.
Smart, by contrast, told the same outlet he would have no hesitation and would "marry Lisa tomorrow" if they could coordinate friends who are "dotted around the world." He said he knows "nothing would change" and that he is ready to take the next step.
The couple recently celebrated Snowdon’s 53rd birthday with a trip to the Caribbean and said they plan further travel to Chile, Peru, Thailand and Guatemala. They have also discussed the possibility of hosting a travel show together, with Smart joking the programme should be called "Couples Travel." Snowdon indicated the Instagram posts are the start of documenting their travels, noting forthcoming content from planned walking tours, cooking classes and market visits in Vietnam.
The social-media update offers a mix of tourism highlights and personal moments as Snowdon and Smart continue to share details of their long-term relationship and future plans while travelling.
