Lalisa Manobal, known globally as Lisa from the K-pop group BLACKPINK, has ignited speculation about a potential split from her boyfriend, billionaire Frédéric Arnault, following an emotional interview with Vanity Fair. In the interview, published Tuesday, the 29-year-old singer stated that she has frequently been the recipient of heartbreak.

When asked if she had ever been a "heartbreaker," Manobal responded, "No." She continued, "I’m the one who got that a lot. I feel like I got heartbroken a lot." The magazine reported that she became so emotional discussing the topic that she was unable to finish her thought. The Vanity Fair cover story also noted that the couple, who officially began dating in 2023, "seem to have now called it quits." The publication also divulged that they were restricted from asking questions about Manobal's personal life or her relationship.

Rumors of a breakup first surfaced in March when Arnault, 31, reportedly missed Manobal's birthday celebration. Representatives for Manobal did not immediately respond to requests for comment, and a representative for Arnault was not immediately available.

The former couple had maintained a relatively private relationship, with their public appearances including an event for TAG Heuer and Formula 1 in Miami in 2024. During the interview, Manobal also reflected on the importance of privacy. "I feel like after I came out and talked about how there’s no privacy for me, [fans] now respect that a lot more," she told Vanity Fair. She added that her fans "know that being in this position is not easy" and that "sometimes it’s just a little too much, and sometimes I just want to be normal."

Shifting to her acting career, which recently included a role in HBO Max's "The White Lotus," Manobal shared her motivation to seek new inspirations. "Sometimes when you’re doing the things that (you’ve done) for more than 10 years, you feel like you should find new things to find inspiration," she said, noting that her mother had enrolled her in acting classes as a child.
