Lisa Faulkner, 54, shared a sun-kissed photograph on Monday, appearing radiant alongside her husband John Torode. The couple is currently on a beach holiday, several months after Faulkner revealed her diagnosis with breast cancer.
In the Instagram post, Faulkner wore a leopard print swimsuit, while Torode, 51, sported blue and white shorts. The couple, who married in October 2019, met on MasterChef in 2010 and began their relationship a few years later.
Faulkner recently posted a birthday tribute to Torode, expressing her gratitude for his support during her recent health struggles. "I couldn’t have got through these past few months without you by my side," she wrote, referring to the difficulties she has faced.
Last month, Faulkner announced that she had undergone surgery for early-stage breast cancer and would be starting a course of radiotherapy. She explained on social media that she had been quiet due to her treatment, which included a significant operation. "I had surgery two weeks ago, it was quite a big op but it's all good and I've my results back and they've got everything out," she stated. "So it's all clear and I just need now to have some radiotherapy in a few weeks."
Faulkner also emphasized the importance of mammograms, crediting hers for the early detection of her cancer. "I just wanted to say don't put them off, go, because they found this and without that mammogram it wouldn't have been picked up," she urged, thanking the NHS for accessible treatment.
