Lisa Armstrong is reportedly “doing amazingly” and “not bitter” and “moving on” following her split from television presenter Ant McPartlin, according to her best friend and former bandmate Craig Robert Young.

McPartlin and Armstrong, a makeup artist, were married for 11 years before their divorce was finalized in October 2018. McPartlin went on to marry his former personal assistant Anne-Marie Corbett in 2021 and they welcomed a son, Wilder, in 2024.

Young, who starred with Armstrong in the 1990s pop group Deuce, told The Mirror that Armstrong has had a “rough time” but has “come out the other side.” He added, “She's moving on with her life – and she's not bitter.” He described her as “passionate about her career” and noted her role as the head makeup artist for the television show Strictly Come Dancing.

Armstrong and Young remain close, with Armstrong frequently visiting him in Los Angeles, where he resides with his husband. “She comes to stay with me in LA. Lisa's one of my best friends of all time. She's so funny, loving and supportive,” Young stated.

Armstrong's career has continued to flourish despite personal setbacks since her divorce. In 2023, she separated from her then-boyfriend Grant Kilburn. In the same year, a fire damaged the home she had purchased in Chiswick following her divorce. Sources close to Armstrong have indicated she has worked to overcome difficult periods after the split.

Armstrong and McPartlin first met in 1994 during the Smash Hits tour in Newcastle. They were together for over 23 years before their eventual separation. McPartlin proposed in Dubai in 2005.

Earlier this year, the couple's beloved dog, Hurley, passed away. Insiders reported that McPartlin arranged for flowers to be sent to Armstrong's home the day after their chocolate Labrador died. Armstrong was reportedly “touched” by the gesture. The ex-couple briefly reunited at the veterinary clinic where Hurley was euthanized. Reports indicated that McPartlin remained with the 12-year-old dog until his death.
