Music icon Lionel Richie has returned home after a brief hospitalization, ABC News confirmed. He checked himself into the hospital out of an abundance of caution following a summer concert performance over the weekend.

Richie headlined a show at The Muny's annual summer finale concert in St. Louis on Saturday night. According to reports, concertgoers observed Richie appearing to struggle towards the end of the performance and singing his final song, "All Night Long," while seated.

This hospitalization occurred more than two months after Richie experienced dizziness onstage during the opening night of his tour with Earth, Wind & Fire on June 24. At that time, videos shared online showed him performing while seated. Following that incident, he postponed two shows in Columbus, Ohio, and Chicago on doctors' advice to rest and recover.

Richie returned to the stage on June 30 for a performance in Pittsburgh and is scheduled to perform his "King of Hearts" shows in Las Vegas in October and November.
