Lionel Richie has reassured his fans, stating he is "doing well" after a health scare on stage led to the cancellation of several concerts. The 77-year-old entertainer took to Instagram to thank supporters for their well wishes following the incident, which occurred during his tour opener in Minnesota.

Richie was performing at the Grand Casino Arena when he began to feel unwell, pausing his performance and later informing the audience he was experiencing dizziness. He then transitioned to playing the piano for a seated performance of "Three Times a Lady." Following this, audience members were informed that the remainder of the show was postponed due to doctors' orders for Richie to rest.

Consequently, scheduled concerts in Chicago and Columbus, Ohio, were canceled. Richie expressed his disappointment, stating he was "heartbroken to postpone these two shows and cannot wait to be back performing for his fans."

Despite the health scare, Richie shared a carousel of concert images over the weekend, smiling and dancing, and expressed his eagerness to return to the stage. "Pittsburgh and Detroit were an absolute joy. The energy, the dancing, the faces in the crowd… we made real memories together," he wrote. "See you in Toronto... let’s party all night long!"

No further details regarding the specific nature of Richie's health scare have been publicly released.
