Lindsey Russell, a presenter on the BBC program The One Show, has announced that she is expecting her first child with her husband, Fred Haig. Russell revealed the news on Instagram Sunday, sharing a video from a photo booth session with Haig. The clip showed the couple holding up their ultrasound scan to the camera.
"Mum and Dad…" Russell captioned the post, accompanied by text in the video that read, "Our first photobooth as a three."
The BBC star, who is 35, appeared to be covering her baby bump in a black T-shirt in the video. Her celebrity friends offered congratulations in the comments section of her post, with Amanda Holden calling the news "incredible" and Vogue Williams describing it as "so lovely."
Russell and Haig married last summer in a ceremony in Las Vegas. Russell shared photos from the event on social media at the time, describing her new marital status with the caption "Officially in my wife era." The couple eloped to a chapel in Sin City for their wedding ceremony before celebrating with a meal at a local In-N-Out burger bar. Russell wore a white dress with voluminous sleeves and kitten stiletto heels, while Haig, an actor, appeared in photos alongside her. The images shared by Russell appeared to be in a vintage film style.
Russell first gained public recognition as a presenter on the children's program Blue Peter. She joined the show in 2013 after winning a BBC competition. She currently hosts the early breakfast show on Heart radio from 4:30 a.m. to 6:00 a.m.
