Lily Collins' fans expressed outrage on social media after a video circulated showing Kering CEO Luca de Meo bumping into the actress while she was seated front row at the Balenciaga Haute Couture Fall/Winter 2026/2027 presentation during Paris Fashion Week. The incident occurred as de Meo, representing Kering, the parent company of Balenciaga, sat down next to Collins.

The clip, posted on X, shows the "Emily in Paris" star shifting closer to actor Hudson Williams, who was seated beside her. Many online commenters criticized de Meo's actions, with one user writing, "who just shoulder checked lily collins" and another stating, "Spatial awareness is dead. People really just shove like nobody else exists around them."

Despite the online fervor, the footage also showed Collins and de Meo smiling together later in the event, suggesting no lasting animosity. Collins herself was noted for her fashion choice, wearing a black mini dress with long leather sleeves and matching heels, her hair styled in a middle part. She was accompanied to Paris by her husband, Charlie McDowell, though he was not seen at the fashion show. The couple welcomed their daughter, Tove, via surrogate last year.

Regardless, there seemed to be no issue between Collins and de Meo as they later smiled while posing for a photo together

Collins is currently filming the sixth and final season of the Netflix series "Emily in Paris." She announced the upcoming conclusion of the show earlier this year, stating that the final season would provide a definitive end to Emily Cooper's story. Production for the season is taking place in Mykonos, Greece, with subsequent filming planned in Monaco and Paris.

Not seen at the fashion show was her husband Charlie McDowell who did accompany her to Paris (they are pictured together at the French Open in June of last year)

No doubt the two enjoyed a welcome break from parenting duties as they welcomed their daughter Tove via surrogate last year
