Singer Lily Allen headlined the Boardmasters Festival in Newquay, Cornwall, on Saturday, presenting her West End Girl show. The performance, which details her separation from husband David Harbour and allegations of his infidelity, was delivered in full.
Allen, 41, marked a significant musical return last year with the album "West End Girl." Her festival performance featured her in a gold ruched dress, which she later removed to reveal a satin corset bodysuit and lace underwear. She also donned a sheer pink gown during the show.
"West End Girl" is a 55-minute production described as more of a one-woman stage play than a traditional concert, with no audience interaction or encores.
Boardmasters Festival, the UK's largest combined surf and music festival, draws approximately 46,000 attendees across two coastal locations. The Saturday lineup also included artists such as Nia Archives, Ren, Alessi Rose, and Example.
In addition to her festival performance, Allen is set to be the subject of a new Prime Video documentary chronicling her career rise. The film will explore her journey from her early days as "Queen of MySpace" to her current status as a cultural figure. Directed by Mat Whitecross, known for "Oasis: Supersonic" and "Coldplay: A Head Full of Dreams," the documentary is slated for release on Prime Video in 2027.
Allen recently spoke about the impact of her challenging past year on her daughters, Ethel and Marnie, following their relocation from New York back to the UK. She described the adjustments as difficult for them.
In a candid discussion on her podcast "Miss Me?", Allen reflected on a busy year that included finishing the album, undergoing cosmetic surgery, experiencing a mental health crisis, a hospital stay, and performing a demanding theater role for seven weeks. She noted the significant personality development and increased questioning from her children amidst the family's changes in housing, country, and schools.
