Lexi Wood, the reality television star and model, told the Daily Mail that she and Brooklyn Beckham were together longer than the public record suggested and that she harbors no ill will toward Beckham or his wife, actress Nicola Peltz.
Wood said she began dating Beckham in 2018 and that the relationship lasted “more than a year” before he met Peltz in October 2019. She described the couple’s early relationship as deliberately private and said the two kept their personal lives out of the spotlight while they were young.
Speaking at the launch of a new collection with Hanky Panky, Wood said she is supportive of Beckham’s marriage and family life. “I love that he has moved on to his amazing relationship and marriage,” she told the newspaper. “I wish nothing but the best for both of them.” She added that she has met Peltz and some members of the Peltz family, and that from “the outside looking in, they’re all amazing.”
Wood’s comments come amid a widely reported rift between the Peltz and Beckham families. Beckham and Peltz were married in April 2022 at the Peltz family estate in Palm Beach, Florida. The couple held a second wedding ceremony last month at the Peltz estate in Westchester County, New York, that reportedly drew about 200 guests. Several members of Beckham’s immediate family, including his parents Victoria and David Beckham and his brothers Romeo and Cruz, were not present at that second ceremony, according to media reports. Beckham’s 14-year-old sister, Harper, and several relatives also were not in attendance.
When asked about the family dispute, Wood declined to speculate about private matters between the families. “I think that you never know what happens behind closed doors,” she said. “All I know is my experience and my experience was amazing.” She praised Victoria and David Beckham for raising “such a great family” and called Brooklyn “brilliant.” She added that while she and Beckham largely socialized with siblings rather than parents during their time together, her interactions with his family were positive.
Wood also reflected on growing older and becoming more comfortable being open about her personal life. She said she is single and that increased confidence has allowed her to be more vulnerable and connect with others. “I’m more confident in who I am, therefore I’m able to kind of share who I am and know that someone will connect to that and I love that,” she said.
The Summer House alum has previously been linked in the media to other high-profile figures and has discussed those relationships in interviews, but in her recent comments she emphasized looking forward rather than rehashing past romances. Her remarks to the Daily Mail came as she promoted her lingerie collection with Hanky Panky.
Wood’s statements offer a personal account of a brief chapter in Beckham’s life that predates his relationship with Peltz. The timeline she described — dating beginning in 2018 and continuing into 2019 before Beckham met Peltz in October of that year — aligns with earlier public sightings that first linked Wood and Beckham, including a widely reported appearance at a tattoo parlor in West Hollywood in April 2018.
Representatives for Beckham and Peltz did not immediately respond to requests for comment. Media coverage of the Beckham–Peltz family dispute has focused on the absence of several family members from recent celebrations; neither family has publicly detailed the causes of their differences beyond selective statements.
Wood concluded her interview by reiterating respect for both families and expressing hope for positive outcomes. “Whatever is going on, I just know they did exactly the best thing,” she said, adding that people and relationships evolve over time and that she remains focused on her work and personal growth.
