Model and television presenter Leomie Anderson, who made her Victoria's Secret fashion show debut at age 22, has shared insights into maintaining her runway-ready physique. Anderson, scouted at 14 and walking for Marc Jacobs by 17, attributes her success to a holistic approach rather than adherence to fad diets.
Anderson told the Daily Mail that she prioritizes a balanced diet and avoids self-denial when it comes to food. "I never deny myself anything that I want to eat," she stated. "For me to be able to enjoy my career for as long as I have, I have to enjoy every part of it and I don't believe in restricting myself. I wouldn't enjoy that, I think that it's just all about balance."
Endometriosis Management
Anderson, who was recently diagnosed with endometriosis, has incorporated specific dietary and fitness practices to help manage her symptoms. She highlighted the benefits of including ginger in one's diet, noting that ginger shots and juices can be effective against inflammation, which may reduce pain. "I think it's really important for women to speak about this more often as well," she said, referring to endometriosis. "I think it's something that's quite taboo to still to speak about. So I think it's really important that we discuss it and we encourage each other to advocate for ourselves."
Fitness Philosophy
Regarding exercise, Anderson adopts a flexible approach, fitting in activities like Pilates when her demanding schedule permits. She admitted to not having been to the gym for several weeks due to travel commitments, emphasizing that she does not force workouts if they are not feasible. "I can't force myself to do something or try and squeeze it into my schedule if it's not possible, but when I can, I like to try new classes," she explained. While she enjoys Pilates, high-intensity interval training, and cardio, she reiterates that consistency should not come at the expense of well-being.
Skincare and Travel Style
Anderson also shared her skincare routine, recommending microneedling treatments at CULTSKIN in Esher Clinic. She believes microneedling is beneficial for improving skin texture, reducing pigmentation, and addressing breakouts. "So I would always recommend to anybody to, if you have any sort of problem with skin or scarring, micro needling is definitely one of the things that really helps," she said.
Recently, Anderson partnered with Clearpay to highlight summer travel fashion trends. As a frequent traveler, her go-to airport outfit consists of "classic comfort - jeans and vest, dressed up with a stylish jacket." She believes that personal style is paramount: "What’s most important is to wear what you want. If you feel great in the outfit you’re travelling in, you’re going to enjoy your trip from the moment it starts."
